SEAI Solar Electricity Grant

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) are offering grants of up to €2,100 to install Solar PV on your home. At Planet Blue Energy we look after all the paperwork for you so all you have to do is apply!

Who can apply?

  • All homeowners, including private landlords whose homes were built and occupied pre-2021. 
  • An SEAI grant must not have previously been provided at your address for Solar PV. 
  • You will be entitled to €900 per kWp up to 2kWp, and €300 for every additional kWp up to 4kWp. 
  • Below are examples of system sizes and the respective grant entitlement.

The Non-Domestic Microgen Grant

The Non-Domestic Microgen Grant (NDMG) entitles businesses and other sectors installing Solar PV to grants ranging from €2400 - €162,600.

Eligibility 

  • Building must be built pre-2021.
  • An SEAI grant must not have previously been provided at the address for Solar PV.

ACA is a tax incentive scheme promoting investment in energy sufficient products & equipment. 

The ACA scheme allows businesses paying corporation tax or income tax to deduct the full cost of the equipment from their profits in the year of purchase, meaning your taxable profits are reduced!

Targeted Agricultural Measures Scheme (TAMS 3) Solar Capital Investment Scheme

The Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine are offering grants of 60% of the cost of Solar PV Installation on your farm!

There is a minimum investment required 0f €2,000 and maximum amount of €90,000. 

Additional Information:

  • The TAMS 3 Grant is for self-consumption only and cannot be used for commercial or non-farming consumption (with the exception of use of electricity in your home situated on the farm itself). 
  • An “On Farm Solar PV Survey” with your grant application exhibiting that the energy produced from the proposed Solar System will be consumed by the farm.
